With a ₹300 Cr budget you cast your film's hero, heroine, villain and director, pick a music director and a special appearance, choose the genre and the release date, then watch the box office roll in week by week. Hit, flop or all-time blockbuster? Can your film cross ₹1000 crore?

How to play

  1. Pick a genre. Every film deals you 3 fresh scripts from 14 genres: Masala Action, Romantic Drama, Horror-Comedy, Spy Thriller, Family Drama, Sports Biopic, Full-On Comedy, Gangster Crime, Period Epic, Social Drama, Sci-Fi Superhero, Dance Musical, Patriotic War, Mythological.
  2. Spin for each role. The reel lands on an era, from the 70s to the 2020s, then you choose a star from that era. Money you don't spend becomes marketing.
  3. Add the music and an optional special appearance, then name your film and its tagline.
  4. Choose a release date. Each film offers 5 of 16 dates, like Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Independence Day, Valentine's Week, Friday and more. Bigger festivals bring bigger crowds and bigger clashes.
  5. Release it. Watch the collections week by week, make the call in the War Room when trouble or a jackpot hits, and get your verdict.

About two minutes from picking a genre to the final verdict. Make as many films as you like.

How is the box office collection decided?

Your stars (their pull, acting and genre fit), hit jodis, music, marketing money, release date, clashes and surprise events. When a crisis or a big chance hits, you make the call in the War Room.

What is Aaj Ki Release?

The daily ranked challenge: everyone gets the same stars that day, you get one ranked attempt, and the best films top the leaderboard. Play every day to keep your streak alive.

How do I challenge a friend?

After your film releases, tap Challenge a Friend and send the link. Your friend gets the same stars, the same budget and the same release date, and both films release against each other in a Box Office Clash. Only one wins.

Can I cast my friends in my film?

Yes. Make a free Star Profile with a painted star portrait or your own photo and share your star link. Friends who join your Cast Circle can cast you in their films, and you can cast them in yours.

Is Blockbuster connected to any film star or studio?
